Good questions.
Useful answers.

Is the app available on Google Play?

The app is being prepared for its public Google Play release. This website will link to the listing once it is available. The planned price is £4.99 as a one-off purchase; check the eventual store listing for confirmed pricing and availability.

Is the content updated?

Yes. The content library is regularly expanded and updated with new subjects and additions to existing guides. Timing and coverage vary, and new online content requires a connection.

Do I need an account?

The current app is designed for reading and using tools without a personal app account. The separate content-management area is for the developer and editors.

Can I use it without internet?

Live feeds, map tiles, new content, online media and radio require a connection. Device-based tools may work without data, but depend on your hardware, permissions and battery. Check any saved content before you travel; bookmarks are not a guarantee of full offline downloads.

Why does it ask for camera or location permission?

Camera permission is used for the torch and SOS light tools. Location permission lets you request your coordinates and show your position on the map. You can decline or change permissions in Android Settings, although the associated tools may then be unavailable.

Does the SOS button call for help?

No. It produces a visual signal using your screen or torch. It does not send your location or notify emergency services. In a UK emergency, call 999 or 112.

Are the caves and tunnels safe emergency shelters?

No such assurance is provided. These are reference locations, not approved refuges. Access restrictions, instability, flooding and other hazards may apply. Follow official emergency advice and never treat a marker as permission to enter.

How do I report an issue or suggest an article?

Email the support address below with the app version, your phone model and Android version, and a short description. For a content issue, include the article title and what needs correcting. Avoid sending passwords or unnecessary personal information.

How do I manage a purchase or request a refund?

Purchases are managed through Google Play. Open your Google Play order history or contact Google Play support for the options available for your purchase. You can also contact us about app-related problems.
