This notice describes the app implementation available for review. The release build, hosting logs, retention periods and third-party services must be confirmed before this becomes the published policy for Google Play.

Ultimate Survival Toolkit is provided by Polytek Creative Ltd, trading as Five12 Digital. Polytek Creative Ltd is the controller of personal information handled by the developer as described in this notice. Privacy questions can be sent to dale.moir@five12.co.uk.
The app provides preparedness articles, reference information, maps and phone-based tools. This notice also covers the promotional website. Polytek Creative Ltd is registered in Scotland under company number SC846323. Its registered office is 19 Primrose Court, Rosyth, Dunfermline, Scotland, KY11 2TE.
2. Information used by the app
Content requests and connection information
The app connects to its content server to retrieve articles, categories and other information. These connections expose technical information such as your IP address to the server and its hosting providers. Server, security and proxy logs may contain request details. The enabled logs and retention periods are being checked for the release configuration.
Saved preferences and activity
The reviewed app uses on-device storage for features such as bookmarks, reading progress, notes, checklists and cached information. Clearing app storage or uninstalling can remove this information. Device backup behaviour depends on your device settings and the release configuration.
Location
Location tools request permission before accessing your foreground location. Coordinates can be shown on your device, used to position the map, or shared through your phone’s share controls when you choose. Map requests can reveal the area being viewed; cave searches send the selected map area to the app’s API. A map centred on your location can therefore reveal an approximate area to relevant service providers.
Camera and torch
The camera permission enables the torch and SOS light features. These tools are intended for illumination and signalling, not photo, video or audio recording.
Support messages
If you email support, we receive the email address, message and attachments you provide. These are used to respond to the request and investigate reported problems. Do not send sensitive information that is not needed for support.
3. Third-party content and services
Online articles can include externally hosted images and YouTube videos. Maps load external map tiles, and radio features connect to streaming providers. These services may receive connection information such as IP addresses and device or browser details when content is loaded. Embedded content may also use cookies or similar storage under the provider’s own policies.
Map providers may infer the map area from requested tiles. Opening source links takes you to a service with its own privacy practices. Hazard and news information may be fetched through the app’s server; the final service inventory will be checked against the release build.
Google Play purchases
Google Play handles purchases and payment details under its own terms and privacy policy. Do not send payment card information to app support.
4. This website
The website itself does not add advertising tags, analytics scripts, newsletter tracking or a contact form. Its images, styles and scripts are served as local website assets. The hosting platform can process technical connection and access information. Contact links open your email app; external links connect to the named external service.
Any hosting access controls and platform cookies operate separately from the page code. The public hosting configuration must be confirmed before the final notice is published.
5. Purpose, retention and security
Information is used to deliver requested features, serve content, maintain security and respond to support. The intended approach is to keep support correspondence only for as long as needed to resolve an enquiry and meet any applicable obligations. The email service, deletion schedule and backup retention have not yet been configured or verified. The final notice will specify the confirmed retention criteria, applicable lawful bases, service-provider locations and any relevant international transfer safeguards.
Connections to the production API should use HTTPS. No internet service or device storage can be guaranteed completely secure. On-device information remains subject to your phone’s security and backup settings.
6. Your choices and requests
You can manage permissions in Android Settings, choose whether to open online media or external links, and remove locally stored information by clearing app storage. This may also remove your notes and saved progress.
For information held by the developer, contact us to ask about access, correction or deletion. Applicable rights and any limits depend on the information and circumstances. You may also raise concerns with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
7. Changes to this notice
This notice will be updated when the app’s data handling or services change. The final version should match both the published app and its Google Play Data safety declaration.
